My passion for working with young musicians deepened during my time with the Metropolitan Opera Guild's Urban Voices program, where I partnered with schools in need of performing arts education across Boston. That experience was life-changing—not just for the students, but for me as well. They taught me as much about music (and life) as I taught them. I can’t recommend Urban Voices enough to newly graduated classical singers looking to make a difference. If you're curious about the program, I’m always happy to share more about my experience.
Teaching the arts doesn't happen in a vacuum—it thrives in community. Some of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned have come from collaborating with fellow music and arts educators, sharing ideas, and swapping stories from the classroom trenches. I’m always excited to be a resource for other teachers, so I’ve started sharing my own classroom materials—lesson plans, decorations, and creative resources—on my Teachers Pay Teachers store. It’s a small way to give back to the incredible network of educators who’ve inspired me and to keep the cycle of creativity and support alive.
